Like the sims themselves, the music in the Sims games has evolved over time. Now that they are moving out of suburbia and into the big city, the sims need their own soundtrack to dance and thrive to. There are many artists that lend their talents to the soundtracks, and we caught up with some of them to see how they got involved in their music and how they stumbled into making music for games.
Below we have Mickey Factz who did "Dreamland" for The Sims 3 on console, along with King Fantastic (artists Killer Reese One and Troublemaker), Hadag Nahash (Guy Mar), and Electrolightz (Eroc, Name Brand, Rami Dearest, and Barry Romance) for The Sims 3: Late Night.
For the interview, check it out here.
In this fourth installment of “Any Given Monday” Yelawolf and Cisco Alder (from the group Swayze) stop through 3LD headquarters, Mickey Factz comes back home and Pill explains the origins of the term “Going Ham”.

On Monday evening at the U Street Music Hall, where he was performing as part of a Direct Drive Record Pool event, Factz spoke about the state of the music scene.
"Yes, there's a lot of artists out there, but what makes me stand out is that I always share my emotions. Whether I'm happy, sad, glad, mad, you'll always get the music coming straight from my heart."

This is Sean Price tweeting on Duckdown's Twitter, what do you guys think about this? I don't think Mickey Factz is into beef though. Or maybe it's more serious at Cudi, but joking at Mickey Factz?

He talks a little about his upcoming mixtape, album, and the Hip-Hop game. He also says Jive/Battery Records fully got his back. Thats great cause we can look at the Big Boi situation as their last bad experience.

The full track to "Turn It Up" from Mick's thedarkphoenix: ALPHA is featured as well. Consider this a warm up to I'm Better Than You. Shout out to NEJI for the artwork. He talks Jive signing, his upcoming mixtape and album, and spits some accapella. The video says freestyle, but since I'm a big Mickey Factz fan I know hes spit these lines at lease twice before. I wonder what this song is called though?

Uploaded December 31, 2009 by GFCNY's youtube channel. Mickey Factz & Stalley take a visit to DD172/The Dojo. Curren$y recorded his part for "Scaling the Building" and Wiz Khalifa spits his later in the video. They reworked it for timing issues.
Anyways Dame Dash is there. So is Mickey Factz, Stalley, Wiz Khalifa and Curren$y. He speaks knowledge to everyone, then Mickey Factz spits some sick bars over "Scaling The Building". Stalley recites "Slim's Return" off his mixtape. It's great to see that Mick was around the making of 24 Hour Karate School. If you haven't seen this yet, your in for a treat!
Everybody knows that music is not the most stable career, in any sense of the word, especially in this day and time. Being a new artist, it’s even worse, because there are so many other artists that are trying to make it in this game. The biggest fears I really had were just being homeless and out on the street.

In this clip Mickey Factz Lets MeLo-X hear his verse for the Remix to "Rapity Rap."
Rapity Rap is a track off of MeLo-X's self produced free album Mustafa The GodKing: Rise of the Merch which you can download here.
The Remix will be featured on MeLo-X's next free project dropping in Fall called More Merch
Came across this one day while searching for Mickey Factz stuff before I joined this blog. He uses the Mickey Factz line "All Black Attire" for the background. I think this is my favorite remix of "Turn It Up". Man, someone contact him cause I need an mp3 of this!
Check out his myspace here!
DJ Daddy Mack edit: Here you go, my friend. If you guys want to check out more remixes, you can get them here.
Amp Live had a contest to get people to remix his single off his album. "Turn It Up" produced a good amount of remixes. You could download the Vocals, Background Vocals, and Drums and remix it. Sorry but their not accepting entries anymore. The winner will be announced August 12.

This is a new blogger here! Online I got by the name Vigilante and I'm a big, big Mickey Factz fan. I'll be bringing to you guys the latest Mickey Factz news, videos, and other things. I have also interviewed Mickey Factz himself so be on the watch out for that!
They rhyme over an LL Cool J track and then a Pharrell produced track. I think Cory is spitting written though and I know Mick is. Still love them both though. Mickey spits "Mick James"/"Scream Loud" and a little freestyle at the end.
Back in 2005, Mickey was known as Renegade. This music video is from that time. You can find this track on The Leak Vol. 1: The Understanding. Maybe one day you guys will hear some Renegade stuff like the following freestyle battle which is not the best example, I admit. The music from that time is retty interesting, I must say. It's so not the guy you all know now, but he still can rap his ass off as he showed in the promo tracks for the upcoming I'm Better Than You mixtape.
He sure has come a long way.
Here are some pictures from Vibe.
We caught up with our friend Mickey Factz out in Green Point, Brooklyn where he was filming his first major label music video for his single “Paradise”. Play Cloths brings you behind the scenes.
Thisis50 Sat Down With Mickey Factz.
He speaks on the pressure he had signing to a major, being on the cover to XXL, signing with Battery/Jive Records, dropping out of law school, working with Cory Gunz, rappers in the Bronx, his new single "Paradise" and new album The Achievement and much more!

More details popped up about Mickey's deal. It's a two album deal. As stated before, The Achievement drops in the Fall. The second album supposedly titled The New Museum is to follow next year. If you remember a while back, the names of these albums replaced each other. At one point, The Achievement was suppose to be The Leak Vol. 3: The Achievement.
Here is the dirty version of "Paradise":

In 2009, Mickey was laying low, but he's been working on his debut album, with EA Sports and doing more stuff with Honda. This blog has been ghosting itself for the past few months. Mick's back, and the blog's back. This is going to be a semi-long post, so, keep up.
Back in January, Mickey dropped a mixtape/EP called thedarkphoenix: ALPHA to promote his first single up for sale "Alpha." The project previews the single and blends Mick's rapping skills with the music of French bands Phoenix and Justice. Click here to download it.
Two months later, Mickey dropped his first single "Alpha" on iTunes. Today, the video dropped:
GFCnewyork presents Mickey Factz who brings you his hot new song, Alpha. Directed by Kwesi James and produced by Kwesi James and Alex Bittan. Another production from LOOSEWORLD NYC, edited by Aaron Bennett. Director of Photography by Minka and VFX/Motion Graphics by Ronin/SS.
Feeling the single? Cop it for 99 cents.
In addition to dropping the video, he announced his signing to a major label. What label? Battery Records/Jive. Peep it. The debut album is dropping this Fall. To hold people over, Mick's dropping a mixtape called I'm Better Than You next month with great features. Be on the lookout for that right here.
Remember this? Well, Vol. 2: The Return is coming real soon. It features tracks from the time the blog was away and maybe some other goodies. Stay tuned for that!
Shout out to the fans who have rode with Mickey. WE'RE BACK!!!
